Poster Dress
A-line poster dress with screen- printed photo of a cat, made of 75% Rayon + 25% Nylon. Velcro tab opening on left shoulder. Manufactured in the UK by Poster Dress Ltd. in collaboration with American artist Harry Gordon.
Despite belonging to the paper dresses fad of the 60s, notorious for focusing on the disposability of garments that were mostly manufactured as means of advertising new materials, products or for election campaigns, the packaging reads: “Throw it away? Never!”. It intestingly suggests owners to re-use the dress as a poster, wrapping paper or even a bedspread intead of disposing of it, as well as encouraging to adjsut the lenght and collar shape by cutting them to need.
