Fall Front Jeans
[work in progress: preparing PDF pattern]
These 1940s fall-front pants were acquired by Mohsin Sajid by a Canadian seller.
The legs feature a clean costruction with 1/4” chainstitch felled seams. The waistband presents 11 buttons, 6 of them to attach suspeders and the remaining ones to close the front flap and waistband. One additional button can be found on the inside of the fall panel, which connects to both buttonholes visible at the center front of the left and right hand side of the waitband. The pockets bags are attached to the waistband and accessible from the side of the fall front construction.
The back features a hammer pocket on the right leg and two pockets, all finished with diamond stitches as a reinforcement. Interestingly, the back is tailored with two darts instead of using a yoke construction.
