Engineered Jeans
[work in progress: preparing PDF pattern]
This iconic style was released by Levi’s in 1999, designed by Rikke Korf to explore a three-dimensional ergonomic cut of jeans.
They feature low-cut pocket for ease of access, an oversized coin pocket that is partially stitched on top of the waist band and one back double-layer pocket. The unique cut of the legs has shifted and curved seams, that make the jeans twist around the leg, and they’re tailored in the back using a horizontal dart that starts from the center back.
These jeans were made 100% cotton warp and 100% natural hemp weft and dyed with both natural and synthetic indigo.
